Front Desk Agent - Evening & Weekend Shifts

Staybridge Suites West Des Moines
Full-Time, 32 hours per week
Current Schedule: Monday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM
Weekends required
Pay: $16.00 per hour

Staybridge Suites West Des Moines is hiring a dependable Front Desk Agent for evening and weekend shifts. This is a guest-facing position for someone who is reliable, professional, friendly, and able to stay calm while handling check-ins, guest requests, phone calls, reservations, and basic billing/payment tasks.

The current shifts available are:

Monday: 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM
Friday: 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM
Saturday: 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM
Sunday: 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM

Please read this carefully before applying: these are the shifts we currently need covered, but hotel schedules can change based on staffing, occupancy, business needs, and coverage changes. Applicants must be flexible and willing to work evenings, weekends, and possible adjusted shifts in the future. This is not a Monday-Friday daytime position, and it is not a permanently fixed schedule.

What You’ll Do

  • Welcome guests and assist with check-ins and checkouts
  • Answer phones and help with guest questions or requests
  • Make, modify, and review reservations
  • Process payments and help ensure billing accuracy
  • Communicate clearly with housekeeping, maintenance, management, and other front desk shifts
  • Keep the front desk and lobby area clean, organized, and professional
  • Handle guest concerns calmly and professionally
  • Follow hotel policies, safety procedures, and shift checklists
  • Work independently after training while knowing when to contact management for help

What We’re Looking For

  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to work the current schedule listed above
  • Flexibility as the schedule may change in the future
  • Weekend availability is required
  • Friendly, professional communication
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to multitask during busy check-in periods
  • Previous customer service experience preferred
  • Hotel experience is helpful, but not required

Physical Requirements

  • Standing, walking, and sitting during the shift
  • Using a computer and phone throughout the shift
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs as needed
  • Assisting with light front desk/lobby tasks as needed
